Join all of our charity partners and golf pros from the Nationwide Tour at this fun event for all kids.

Come enjoy bounce-arounds, airbrush tattoos, caricature drawings, balloons, pitching booth and SNAG golf. The Nationwide Tour pros will hold a skills clinic and then attempt to hit golf balls across the Arkansas River.

RICKY SKAGGS




Ricky Skaggs first took the stage at age five and made his television debut at age seven, performing with bluegrass legends Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs to earn his first paycheck. Since that time, he has garnered thirteen Grammy Awards, eight Country Music Association (CMA) Awards including "Entertainer of the Year," eight Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, eight TNN Music City Awards, eleven International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards and dozens of other honors.

In 1997 Ricky founded his own record label, Skaggs Family Records, and has since released nine albums. Each of his self-released albums has been nominated for a Grammy Award, and seven of the nine received the honor. Ricky Skaggs earned a spot on Billboard's "Top 20 Artists of the Decade" and was included in Billboard's list of "Top 100 Artists of the Past 50 Years." CMT included Ricky in its television special, "40 Greatest Men of Country Music."

JOSE ALVAREZ




Born in Tampa, Florida, Jose attended the University of Louisiana-Lafayette" the Ragin Cajuns". In 1978 he broke most of Cajun pitching records, was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 8th round and began a career in professional baseball

Although he made an appearance in the majors in 1981, he became the 4th oldest rookie in baseball history in 1988 when he refused to quit and earned a promotion back to the major leagues with the Atlanta Braves at age 32.

That same year he was voted the Atlanta Braves most outstanding pitcher. He retired May 1, 1995 after 16 years in professional baseball and 5 seasons in the major leagues.

He began a professional career in golf January 2006 and has a low tournament round of 64. Jose has been featured on the Golf Channel with Jerry Foltz and Brian Mogg on “Your Game Night”. Carding 3 career aces and a +1 handicap he still competes, winning his first professional tournament in April of 2007.

He is part of the FCA Pro Golf ministry team providing encouragement to professional and amateur golfers on the Nationwide Tour and other professional golf tours as well and kids ages 12-18 on junior tours across America.

Jose and his wife Michelle have been married for 27 years and speak in FamilyLife marriage conferences around the country.

They make their home in Greenville, South Carolina with their two sons, Seve (21), and Austin (19). Their daughter Aubriana (25), is married to Jerome Lopez.
