3 ways to be selected as one of the participants in the
Natural State Golf Trail Junior Pro-Am

  1. Each course on the Natural Golf Trail will be allowed one exemption.

  2. Young people who actively participate at one of the thirty-eight The First Tee Chapters in Arkansas and its touch-states (Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma) are invited to take part in an applications process. Up to 50 selected.

  3. Earn your way through playing in one or more of the three qualifying tournaments. The cost of each qualifier is $50. Up to 50 will advance.


  4. FORT SMITH CLASSIC JUNIOR - PRO TOURNAMENT
    Purpose Statement:
    The purpose of this partnership is to showcase the talent and character of young people who participate in junior golf especially at The First Tee facilities as well as provide them an opportunity to volunteer for and play in a Junior Pro-Am during the Nationwide Tour event, The Fort Smith Classic. In addition, this partnership will provide a vehicle to market the Fort Smith Classic and the Natural State Golf Trail’s top-notch golf courses.

    Summary:
    Young people who actively participate at one of the thirty-eight The First Tee Chapters in Arkansas and its touch-states (Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma) were invited to take part in an applications process. Junior Pro-Am participants were selected from this process. Qualifying tournaments will be held at a member course of the Natural State Golf Trail. Three courses have donated their course for a day. The same number of youth will be advanced from each tournament to the Junior Pro-Am. Maximum number of 112 total young people will then have an opportunity to take part in activities associated with The Fort Smith Classic, including playing in a Junior Pro Am with a player from the Nationwide Tour. (28 teams in total max.)

    PGA Touring professionals greet the community!
    Attendees can receive autographs & golf tips from the Pros.
    There will be give-aways from a large assortment of Wal-Mart vendors in this carnival like atmosphere that will feature activities for the kids.
